Connecting with Veterans to the Dental Care they need at an event.

Our mission is to give free critical and life-saving dental care to low-income Veterans living in Nevada. To qualify for dental care through our program, veterans must meet the following criteria:

  • Must not have any form of Dental Insurance
  • Must have served at least one-year active duty (or Title 10-National Guard)
  • Must provide a copy of DD214
  • Enrolled at the VA and be current with a primary care provider following their healthcare- we will need a copy of VA ID
  • Proof of Full time Nevada Residence
  • Must be clean and sober for minimum of 1 year in order to participate in the AAVD Program
  • Will need a copy of Medication List
  • Must be a Low-Income Veteran (Must meet or be below 225% of the federal guideline of low income)
  • Proof of Income and Assets (this may include):
  • Monthly income
  • All forms of Social Security
  • Available bank accounts and investment account statements, showing all forms of income and assets
  • Most recent tax returns
  • Must be willing to comply with all standards on the AAVD Promise to Commitment Contract
  • Requests for Assistance from Veterans with prior convictions for criminal offenses are reviewed and accepted on a case by case basis after completion of an intake call.
  • Attendance to AAVD’s Prescreening & Orientation Class is required. Failure to attend or reschedule may result in being dropped from the program.

Adopt a Vet Dental Program reserves the right to refuse service to any Veteran.
